We had a fantastic stay at this hotel in a cute local house on top of a peaceful village. The location was amazing, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers. We were able to go hiking directly from the village, a great convenience. The staff was friendly and gave us valuable advice on hiking trails and local curiosities. The hotel facilities were great, with clean rooms and good WiFi connection. The breakfast was also satisfying, with a nice selection of fresh fruits and gluten-free products available just for us. the hotel provided a comfortable and cute experience.

I gotta say, the value for money at Locanda Grauson was great. The room was cozy and comfortable, perfect for a romantic mountain getaway. And oh boy, the location was something else! Set in a peaceful mountain hamlet with fine views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers, it was a hiker's paradise. The staff, especially the friendly owner, made us feel right at home.
The morning meal could use a little improvement. It would have been great if there was a wider variety of food for breakfast, especially for those of us who need a hearty meal before a day of hiking or cycling.

The location was absolutely stunning, nestled high in the mountains with breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks and glaciers. We enjoyed being able to hike directly from the village and explore the picturesque scenery. The landlord was incredibly friendly and despite the language barrier, he made sure we understood everything we needed to know. the room was clean and cozy, and the breakfast had a nice variety of fresh fruits.
That the village is quite secluded, so it was a bit challenging to find options for dinner. It was recommended to have a car to drive to nearby towns or trek down to Cogne, which took around 30 minutes.

Stayed at Hotel Locanda Grauson for my second time while visiting and hiking the Gran Paradiso NP. The owner was incredibly friendly and caring, providing a cozy and comfortable stay. Good breakfast with a variety of food options. Gimilan is an authentic village, just a 5-minute drive from Cogne, with beautiful views and hiking possibilities.
Would recommend this hotel.
